Review of Laura A. Rockefeller's "The Great Succession Crisis"

Author Laurel R. Rockefeller delivers an enjoyable fantasy adventure in "The Great Succession Crisis". This book draws you into a rich, complex and detailed world but sometime a story can have to much detail which can take away from the overall theme. The story flows well at times but struggles at others. It is a little hard to follow sometimes. After the first few chapters I really did start to enjoy it. Princess Anlei is caught in the middle of a crisis where no woman may pass the crown to her daughter. Mix in some "loving" family and you really have a succession crisis! There is a really good blend of characters, here, lending believability to the development of the story. Overall, the author has great imagination and it show in this book with an absorbing adventure. One more thing, I appreciated the fact that the author tried something different with the QR codes for extra content. So if medieval fantasy and science fiction is your thing - dive right in!
