"A New Life: Life of Recovery" by Samantha Jacobey is not a self help book as the title may suggest. It details of story Tori and her abuse at the hands of the "Dragons". Here we have a dark romantic thriller with adult content but not too explicit. The writer does a good job of painting mental pictures. I could see the characters in the settings and their interactions. And the characters were precious. You became so involved! You cant help but but touched as the story unfolded. The author does a good job framing the emotional attraction between Tori and Eli. There are a couple of places where predictability rears its head, but such is the case with most "adult" novels. At the end we are left with a lot of unanswered questions so bring on part two :)
