Review of Peni Jo Renner's "Puritan Witch"

To read "Puritan Witch: The Redemption of Rebecca Eames" by Peni Jo Renner is to open a door and step into the 17th century and witness the miscarriages of justice during the Salem Witch Trials. When someone reports Rebecca as a witch, the mob-mentality takes hold and the rest is, well, history. Heart breaking and brutal at times we follow Rebecca's slow descent into madness. An excellent début novel as Peni has written a very readable account of a disturbing era in time. Even though I have read other books on this topic, I found this to be a fascinating book in which I gained additional knowledge. Come  Halloween, you'll never look at a witch in the same way again! Overall, a well researched and well written book.
