Review of P.I. Barrington's "Crucifying Angel"

Set in 2032 "Crucifying Angel" by  P.I. Barrington is a futuristic crime thriller. Detective Payse Halligan searches for her missing partner before a serial killer "The Crucifying Angel" gets to him first. A slow start but it picked up pretty quickly - like a killer who murders through reverse crucifixion! I must say that reading this book gave me chills. Though the subject matter is dark, it has a good plot but the character development needed some improvement. In saying that, it has action, suspense, and a lot of nail-biting moments. I really liked the main character Payse, who is a strong and smart. Overall a bit predictable but well worth a read.
