"Banished Love" by Ramona Flightner is a historical romance set in Boston in the early 1900’s. We follow the main character "Clarissa" as she tries to break free of the enclosed world she lives in. When she meets someone from below her class - sparks begin to fly. The author has a wonderful way of writing this story. Excellent plot, fiery characters and solid writing with often descriptive prose. This was an empowering tale about following your dreams no matter where they may take you. I curled up with it over the past few rainy day's and enjoyed every page of it. I loved the cliffhanger ending and am looking forward to the next book in this series.
