An interesting portrayal of a dark yet humorous protagonist. "Leaving London" by author Garry Crystal is a very excellent book, one that keeps you hooked all the way through. Not only does it take place in the complex world of sex,drugs and love, but it also capitalises greatly on the fantastic location of London with its lively ambience and characters. The main subject matter is very emotive but doesn't overpower the story or the development of the character's lives and how they interact. I can't wait to read more from this talented new writer.
