"Don't Move" by Nikki Stern is a suspense thriller about a contract killer set from the 1950's to the present day. When I read a book, it’s all about how it makes me feel and how drawn I am to the characters. Here the author creates a dark anti-hero you can root for - How is that even possible?? - Through excellent writing, that's how. The plot details are very tight. There are many instances where plot elements get so intertwined that an author could drop the ball by failing to wrap up loose ends - Nikki does not do that. She is able to pack everything in this novella into a dense package filled with everything one wants from a complex story. The flow of the story was perfect, although I think it could have, and should have been longer. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good engaging thriller.
