'Aranya'

'Aranya' by Marc Secchia is the first book in the fantasy adventure series Shapeshifter Dragons. The story of a young teenager named Aranya who is exiled to the Tower of Sklakia. At this point a lot of reviewers would give you a step by step account of the story, but I'm sure you would rather read Marc's story than my synopsis, so I'm just going to say that it contains all the elements of an epic read; magic, politics, battles and of course dragons. This is my first introduction to Marc’s writing and I found the characters and action was fantastic, while the story flowed effortlessly off the page, engulfing the reader, letting you live inside this book while reality fades away. My only criticisms of this book are that it started a bit slowly for me, but the middle and ending more than made up for that. I loved how Aranya handled her situation and I think she is going to have an interesting time in the next book of the series i.e. I can't wait to read it.
