Review of "Living by ear"

This is a beautifully written book about a woman named Chris Daley who is in the process of  a marriage breakup. Her younger self was a busker on the streets of Boston but she gave it all up to become a mother. With two kids who are struggling with their parents divorce, Chris has decided to try and relive her former life as a musician. The writing is terrific and I loved the music references. The characters were fleshed out and it was easy to empathize with them. I liked the story and the writing. The only thing that holds me back from giving the book a full 5 stars is that the dialogue seemed forced in some sections. But this is a minor bit and if you get past this, it is a wonderful story that my book club members and I truly enjoyed. Overall, this story is both poignant and uplifting & I loved it :)
