This book turned out completely different than what I expected. In England, Norman and Chrissy Leonard head south from a glacier which brings more than just ice! I loved it from the first chapter. It had me completely hooked and I finished this in a two sittings. It is an interesting angle to the old story but it is a great story never the less. The characters seemed so real, the author really made me care about them and what was happening to them. A story of love and a determination to survive "Hard Winter" is a must read for lovers of post-apocalyptic horror. A few editing errors aside, Neil Davies is a talented writer and I hope to be reading much more from him in the future.
