Review of Laurel A. Rockefeller's "The Ghosts Of The Past"

Set after the "Great Succession Crisis" (book 1) author Laurel A. Rockefeller takes us back to Beinan as healing centres across the planet are targeted by unknown assailants. After Lord Elendir loses both his healer parents to two separate bombings, the haunted knight begs Crown Prince Kendric for permission to investigate so can he find peace at last.  The wonderful  world of Beinan is very unique - a colorful blend of cultures in a medieval-future society.  An in depth world with characters that are realistic and easy to identify with. It has both intrigue and drama. And while we are introduced to a world so totally different from our own, we feel the parallels and lessons offered by the author acutely. Very well written - If you like medieval fiction/science fantasy/political, then this story should be right up your alley. It certainly was mine. Highly recommended. Please note this one contains more violence and sex than book one.  I'm looking forward to reading book 3 !
