"The Thieves of Stonewood" is a fantasy/adventure by author Jeremy Hayes. The story of a thief who needs money! In poverty-stricken world, Harcourt (our thief and main character) needs a bit of luck. A chance encounter could change his life - for better or worse. A slow start but it began to pick up 1/3 of the way through. The dialogue is well written and realistic. The scenes the author writes are very visual, the minds of thieves are wonderfully explored and your view of "corruption" is challenged. Overall, it wasn't a bad read for a somewhat generic story, a story that left me wanting more. I do think the author did a good job and I will be reading the sequel :)
