"I Cannes" by D.L. Osment is a wonderfully warm and witty début novel set amongst the beautiful backdrop of Southern Europe. Who could ask for more? The tale of Lucy, a film-maker, who makes the decision to travel to the Cannes Film Festival. But as soon as she steps on the plane - everything begins to change! A believable heroine tells the universal story of the complexity of relationships and the difficulty of finding love for a modern women. Its been a while since a book held my attention with deep emotions as this book did. I really enjoyed the settings taking place in Barcelona, Geneva and Cannes. "I Cannes" has that extra something that is often missing in today's modern novels: Authenticity.
