"Lifemaker"

Part two of The Iron Wars Series, Lifemaker by Dean F. Wilson is a crazy mix of steam-punk, fantasy, adventure and warfare. The Resistance, now on the run from the Regime, take to the depths of the ocean in coolest submarine you've ever seen. Dean has created a fantastic cast of characters, none of them without flaws… but all are well-crafted and add substance to the story. What I particularly like here is the way Jacob's character has evolved over the two books. Overall, this story has everything you could ask for in a steam punk adventure. You wont be disappointed with it but I recommend the first book “Hopebreaker” before reading this - and trust me, you wont be disappointed with that book either.
