Chris James delivers a wickedly entertaining read set in Victorian London, England. The first page had me hooked and I didn't put the book down until I had finished the last page. This book took me on a roller-coaster ride that thrilled, surprised and scared me! 'Alchemy: a story of perfect murder' is both atmospheric and absorbing, and you can tell the author obviously did his research on the Victorian era. Overall, an interesting murder mystery with a dab of romance and very likeable main characters made for one enthralling read. I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy psychological mysteries with twist and turns.
