I started this book with minimal expectations & was so surprised! "Chains of Prophecy" by Jason P. Crawford is the story of Samuel Buckland, whose world is turned upside down when he discovers the super-natural ability to fight evil in a battle between Heaven and Hell. One of the things I found particularly appealing about Chains of Prophecy is that the author has been able to successfully walk a delicate line with the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the organic development of the characters and their relationship. For me, that was really the driving force of the book. Overall a bit heavy on the moral side but well worth the read.
