'Lamentation'

'Lamentation' is the perfect title for this book i.e the passionate expression of grief or sorrow. Author Mitch Sebourn presents us with all the elements for a great ghost yarn. This is the story of Jake Boyd who, after an accident, returns home to Kansas to start a teaching job. But there is more to his school than grumpy teenagers! I sometimes get bored with horror stories but this one held my attention. Aside from a few minor issues with changes in tense, there is great potential here. The writer clearly has skill, but I would just haved liked a bit more showing, rather than telling, particularly in regards to building character. That been said, I will definitely look for more of this author's work.
